To configure the physical requirements for a specific job, you first need to find the job you want to set the requirements for, you find them by searching for job, or by going to Organization administration -> Jobs -> Select the specific job, and then by going to the ADA button in the action pane and click “Setup requirements”

You then go to the page where you can set and edit the requirements for the job. For the physical requirements there are six options:
- None
- Sedentary work
- Light work
- Medium work
- Heavy work
- Very heavy work

Sedentary work has the following definition:
“Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.”
Light work has the following definition:
“Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.”
Medium work has the following definition:
“Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.”
Heavy work has the following definition:
“Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.”
Very heavy work has the following definition:
“Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.”
When you are done setting the option you want the job to have, you click save and the requirement is set for the job.
