MB-260 Identify capabilities and limitations for scheduled refreshes

In previous posts, we’ve gone through incremental updates for our data, data which is updated when there’s a change to them. Now let’s look at scheduled refreshes. Scheduled refreshes automatically update ingested data sources in unified customer profiles.

The scheduled refresh is found under “Settings”, “System” and “Schedule”

You can schedule automatic refreshes of all your data sources, it can be set on a repeating schedule of daily or weekly. If you select weekly, you can say which day you want the schedule refreshed. You always select the time zone you want.

Now you can set which time the schedule should run, you can select up to 4 times in a schedule, by clicking “+Add another time”.

Limitations

Be aware that a system refresh might affect custom schedules for segments and measures, but it won’t update the measures, segment memberships or enrichments. It will only update the customer profile and not create or delete it. It will also not export the updates to other systems.
