For a data source to be able to support incremental updates, it needs to be a structured, relational database and it needs:
- a primary key column that uniquely identifies records
- a date/time column that indicates when the data was last updated
In Customer Insights – Data this is now:
- Some sources in Power Query like (not a complete list)
- Azure SQL Database
- SQL Database
- SAP Hana
- Dataverse
- Azure Data Lake Storage
If a data source supports incremental updates, you’ll can edit the incremental settings after you’ve transformed the data.
